The threatened government shutdown was averted last week when Barack Obama, the Democrats, and the Republicans reached an agreement for a budget for the remainder of 2011. This is a budget the democrats should have passed last year when they had control of the House and Senate. They didn't because they didn't want to be labeled as big spenders going into the 2010 elections.....more
