The Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced it will file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of an Oklahoma state ballot measure that bars judges from considering Islamic law in any ruling. Sharia, which stipulates punishments ranging from chopping off the hand of a thief to death for infidelity, "is an oppressive, discriminatory law system. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) pledged that Republicans will do everything they can to roll back and “eliminate” the unpopular Obamacare legislation that Barack Obama signed into law in March, including taking it apart piece-by-piece if necessary. He said that Republicans in both chambers of Congress would attempt to repeal the bill in its entirety.
