Utah Wants To Opt Out Of Some Federal Programs

The State Can Do It Better

The state of Utah would like to try an experiment. They say the state can manage programs better than the federal government. Utah wants to opt out of three federal programs. They want to run education, transportation, and Medicaid in Utah.

Utah believes the federal government is attempting to do far more than it has the capacity to execute well. Congress has inserted itself into every aspect of our lives with laws and regulations that don't fit the widely divergent nature of the states and localities continued...
